These files are written for physicians and other health care professionals and are intended to be educational tools. Patients who are looking for information should also visit the UCLA Patient Learning Series. These files were written by Mark Goodarzi, M.D. They are based on a review of recent medical literature and current clinical practice guidelines. The files are intended for use by health care professionals as medical references.
