Dr. Sahdu’s mission at UCLA is to develop a hospital-wide program aimed at improving diabetes and glucose management. This new practice of strict glucose control is based on compelling data from many clinical trials demonstrating the significant advantages of such control. The benefits include dramatic reductions in morbidity and mortality for both diabetic and non-diabetic patients. Her role is to create and implement a comprehensive, multidisciplinary, clinical program of strict glucose control at UCLA Medical Center to improve patient care while reducing hospital costs.
